“KANJIAN•Graphite Pottery Cup” is one of the pragmatic designs launched by [KANJIAN•Life] in 2015. The pottery cup is specially designed by one of the well-known designers, Chi Wing Lo for KANJIAN. The pragmatic design aims to demonstrate the concept of “created for people” advocated by “KANJIAN•Life”

“KANJIAN•Graphite Pottery Cup” is handmade with purple clay and graphite mud, generating a natural and unique granular sensation. The designer has broken the traditional rounded shape for purple clay cups, and remolded the body and rim of the cup into rectangular deigns. Consequently, the cup has broken the inertia of the existing techniques and achieved simple and contemporary designs. The rounded design of the inner cup bottom increases the water capacity and is easy for daily cleaning. The natural aperture created by the filled water has revealed the Chinese aesthetic charm of “Nature and Man in One”. We have provided three different designs regarding height, which is suitable for combination or individual use. The tall cup is for smelling the fragrance of the tea, the medium for easily tasting the tea, and the short for viewing the color of the tea.
