“KANJIAN·Gray Bag” has carefully selected the traditional hand-woven cloth of Buyi that has a long-standing history. The design has employed natural organic cotton as the raw material and is manually woven and dyed by female weavers from Southeast of Guizhou Province. The production of hand-woven clothes needs to go through over 70 procedures, including fluffing the cotton, doubling the thread, dyeing the yarn, wrapping the thread, freezing the frame, and arranging the thread etc. And the symmetrical arrangement of “pepper textile” symbolizes the awe to nature. Drawn the inspiration from the journey of exploring traditional handicrafts in 2010, the square and round handles are designed by [KANJIAN] in accordance with the traditional silver design of Miao in the Southeast of Guizhou Province. The hand-polished handle is simple but elegant. Also, the auspicious clouds express the idea of harmony, and the whole design shows the wisdom of Miao culture.
