[KANJIAN•Round Lacquered Silver Tea Set] is a limited edition Chinese handicraft specially designed by Dong Liu.

    [KANJIAN•Round Lacquered Silver Tea Set] includes six pieces in total. Each silver piece was drawn from the same piece of silver so as to ensure the stable qualities among different pieces. Among them, the handle of [KANJIAN•Silver Pot with Horizontal Handle] (round) adopts traditional Chinese lacquer craft, glazed in blackwood. It takes 45 days to polish and dry the pot to make it shiny. The more you use it, the brighter the handle gets. Also, it will integrate the fingerprints of the user over time, presenting “ice-cracking” effects. The pot button has employed the natural red agate, called “Red Jade” in ancient times, which has a transparent color. The shape is inspired by the coral lotus bead, one of the seven treasures of Buddhism. The button is hand carved to link with the pot and designed for flexible rotation.

It takes 45 days and over ten thousand strikes to make the [KANJIAN•Round Lacquered Silver Tea Set]. The design is simple but exquisite, and combines handmade metal forging craft with contemporary design concepts, which is suitable for daily tea-tasting as well as teapot collections.
